we heard about that. if it's the machines that are meant to separate water and oil, then it's a stupid idea.

first, there are many much higher quality machines and more effective machines than the ones kevin costner is promoting, and second, that's what they do at refineries already. they have separation tanks where the water and oil are separated and the contaminents removed from the water etc. so i don't get the reason for this. why don't they come up with a machine to stop the leak. being able to separate the water from the oil has never been an issue. this solves nothing.

BP purchases 32 of Kevin Costner's oil cleanup machines, will be disappointed when manufacturing runs well over schedule and budget, only to flop around in the ocean for three hours when finally released
