Alder body, ash top, roasted maple neck/fretboard.

The fretboards tend to be a little chippy when machining but they look so excellent.

Absolutely nothing! Its dark roasted maple from AS Hardwoods

Wow, that's really dark, I haven't seen roasted maple that dark before, but then again, i haven't ever really been looking for it either. I'll have to look into that more!

I've gotten a few from them now and they've all been gorgeous. I prefer the feel of a maple fb but some color schemes just demand a darker board. Like I said before they do like to chip so keep that in mind when working with them. The thinline neck is bound because I had chipping along one edge that it covered.

My strat has the same type of board:

That board is awesome, but your neck joint is the star of the show. Can we get some more angles?

Thanks! I've done this shaped heel most my builds. I do like how I did the contour on this one a lot though, I think it feels best of all mine so far.

@ejendres that fretboard is phenomenal. How do you find playability given there are no fret markers on the face of the board?

I know its not a Les Paul or even mildly Gibson inspired
This place is called Luthiers Corner and not Gibson builders corner for a reason.

The headstock has a nice Starcaster vibe to it.
And I'm a big fan of the 70's witchhat knobs
