More of my 50’s Standard (ordered direct from Gibson online a few months ago, from the exclusives collection). Never owned ebony before this, and it’s almost too sexy.

You can tell it’s a two piece back even though it’s painted black, the seam is barely visible at the right angle but it’s there.

Proper Les Paul.

All other finishes and colors take a back seat to the mighty black Les Paul.

When someone says Gibson Les Paul, this look is the first thing that comes to my mind. “Bursts” can suck it.

I wanted one of these so bad, but I was too scared to pay full price and have it sent directly from Gibson due to the high probability of having to send it back due to an issue. But if they'd sent them out to dealers, I'd have been all over them. Way better than bursts imo.

Congrats- that's beautiful. Totes Jelly.

Until recently my best production Les Paul was an old 88 or 89 black Standard I wish I would never have sold, BITD. I've owned a few others since in black - 50s neck and 60s neck (early/mid 2Ks) and an 2k5ish Classic, but they didn't have the mojo. It absolutely is one of my fave finishes. I'd love to have another someday.
