I found mine in the wild.

FYI it’s more like a Les Paul with a p90 than a fat junior. It has the body of Custom and feel zero like a junior to me. View attachment 534436 View attachment 534437 View attachment 534438 View attachment 534440 View attachment 534441 View attachment 534439
Yeah I’m kind of expecting that, as long as the neck is a little on the 50’s fatter side and the p90 tone is good then I think I will be happy. Great pics thanks for taking the time. How is the tone? Congrats!

Basically a Junior with a carved top. No reason not to be as cool.
All of my wraparound bridges are at the very most one or two thread width high, about ¼ of yours. But if your action is good, no worries I guess.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I kinda feel like you might not like the guitar because it’s not a Junior. But if you’re sincere, no worries I guess.

The neck is good sized! I haven’t measured it up yet, but I plan to here soon. The tone on the p90 isn’t bad to be honest. It’s growing on me the more I play it. It measures at 9.3in the guitar which is a little hot for me, but I’ve become more adept to using the knobs more. But I really love playing this one.

Yep there’s 4 threads on one side 3 on the other. I express my humble apologies.

Not at all, the Jr comment wasn't meant to be negative. I now realize that it's maple cap should make it quite different sounding. Before these two signature JJ came out, I saw Goldtop Chibsons that looked exactly like that. I loved the look, but would never had bought one.

In your tone quest you can either adjust the pole pieces or use a shim under the cover.

Also, I went over the back of the neck with Scotch Brite to mellow the surface, I do it to all my guitars. Makes a big difference.

LOL ... no need to.

How high is the action ?

Very nice guitar you've scored there!

I have to say Epiphone have really nailed it with the Headstock design changes. I can really see Gibson sales taking a hit.
I for one would be more inclined to buy a guitar like this than a Gibson custom, very cool looking guitar at a decent price!

That's one of the things that sort of put me over the top on deciding to take the plunge and buy an Epiphone LP. The subtle cosmetic and hw changes, and though I've never been a huge fan of gold tops specifically - nothing against, just love the burst look better - this one just looks so cool.

Good to hear! I'm looking forward to finding out how the guitar will change the way I play w/ just 1pu/vol/tone. Congrats again on your new geetar :cheers2:
