Had a black nylon strap that I decided I needed to make gig ready, so I did :D. Well, the front anyway - I'm still trying to decided if I should glitter the whole thing or do something different for the rest of it. This one definitely isn't an every day strap, because the glitter goes EVERYWHERE. I think it may need another coat of sealer, because I love to look at it - but I hate to have it on me. I swear once it's on your skin it never comes off.

The camera can't pick up how great it looks in person though, it really looks incredible. I think in terms of aesthetics, straps are highly underrated. You can do so much with a strap, and I think a great looking strap only compliments a great looking guitar.

Just thought I'd share with my MLP buds. :dude:

Looks great to me! Being an 80's and KISS guy I love any kind of flashy stuff!

Glad you like it, man! I love that kind of stuff as well (could you tell? :D), definitely not the most subtle strap in the world, but for what I do subtle is the enemy. :laugh2:

Cool, I've been meaning to strap a couple old belts like that together to make a strap like that for my goldtop!

My 3 year old daughter would LOVE that strap.

Not sure if just a comment or a rib :D

It's cheap to make, though. The strap cost me $3, and the 4 oz. thing of glitter cost me $5. Get some fabric glue and glitter sealer and you're good to go. :thumb:

I just might. She's been begging for a strap for junky lil first act acoustic. Afterall, big brother has one for his Squier mini Strat.

If you do, I'd use this as opposed to a bottle of glue.

I bought some with the intention of just spraying the entire strap and then pouring the glitter on - but I used the bottle and spread it myself. I'd imagine that the Elmer's wouldn't take as long, and it'd probably hold better because it'd be an even coat all the way down the strap.
