Beautiful guitar, Jimmy! I think you should call it Smiley! Never saw maple flame curve like that before! Does the case say 'Gibson Custom' on the outside? I didn't know they were doing black interiors - the Bloomie has the burgundy interior!

Smiley? haha I once saw an Ace Frehley custom shop guitar (300 made in 1997) that had a huge smiley mouth at the bridge. mine doesn't really have a mouth. it bends up like a mouth, but the whole top below the bridge does it. Didn't bloomfield's flames go that direction? Can you post some pics of his guitar? Most of the 2009 bloomies I have seen had more of a V shaped chevron flame to them. mine is almost a reverse V. seems like bloomfield's original did that?

Pics of the case are attached. the outside has the normal star logo that says "Gibson Custom".

By the way, i think i may have mentioned in a separate thread that it would be nice if i could do a one hit wonder, and if Gibson ever wanted to make a signature model for me, it would be called the JimmyAce. LOL! not gonna happen this year! but i will probably refer to it as the JimmyAce just in case it ever happens!! haha

maybe the case IS sparkley inside? a little?

yep, Wildwood surprised me with their service & all the goodies & fast shipping (the holiday delayed it). i felt like the price was reasonable too. i have heard stories about them not budging on the price in the past. but they did work with me some. i bought the amp from Haggerty's music in south dakota. they guy who helped me is named Don. the guy knows a lot about amps & how they work. took a lot of time with me; top notch experience.

... hey, I notice your case has the black lining. I recently bought a case on ebay that has the black lining! I like it! I store ACE 28X in it, much more secure than the crappy cases the ACE's came with. Why do you think they do some cases with the black liners and some with red? The auction listing for the case I bought listed it as a Jimmy Page guitar case. Not sure what the heck that was about, but, the black liner does look sweet.

All I know is that black lined CS cases are very uncommon... Unless they've been doing a lot of them recently. This is only the second one I've ever seen.

Sweet looking guitar Jimmy, congrats That top is amazing, I've never seen the flame/quilt curve quite like that. Excellent pics too, and great to hear Wildwood put in all the extras Gibson now seem to be leaving out.

Page 12X is gone. Sold it about a month ago.

haha i know what ebay auction that was with the "Jimmy Page" thing. I wrote the guy & told him it was not a Page case but he ignored me. Don't know why some are black; could be that they are phasing out the red / maroon.
