Joyo "English Channel" or Vox Ac30 Amplug?

I've got a ES335-S standard Firebrand, and want to practise without annoying the rest of the house.

A "plug in" headphone amp seems ideal, and a ac30 sound should suit the guitar (other opinions?).

But at UK Amazon pricing, a "Vox" is 30.00 and the Joyo is 10.00.

And I've read many favourable reviews of the Joyo (in its 6 guises)

So - is the Joyo a genuine bargain, or is it horrible and to be avoided?

I've heard that those Vox headphone amps are not that good... mabe you should read reviews about them...

There are some amps that allow you to squeeze the oputput. I have a roland cube 15 that has a power squeezer function that takes the oupt to around 5w or so (almost don't use it because it's cranked on rehearsals)

Neither, the Pandora Mini is the way to go. The drum grooves are quite good and very fun to jam with. I never travel without it.

I have a Vox "classic rock" amplug.
and it's ideal for headphone listening.

my current practice amp (20W solid state) also does not have a gain adjustment,
so i run through the amplug into the amp aswell for getting some adjustable gain into the mix.

I'm not sure what a lot of people who give them bad reviews are expecting from the amplugs?

Given the price difference, I'll give the Joyo a go - it's so cheap that if I don't like it, I can buy the Vox, and not be far out of pocket.

Did not like the AC30 Amplug at all. No experience with the Joyo though.

I usually practice at home without plugging in at all.

If I do need to plug in, test effects, etc, I have a Vox Pathfinder 10 which sounds great in itself, the headphone socket not quite as great but leagues better than other headphone-related options I've tried.
