I think every one of those was less than 6 movies with the same lead character though. Maybe the Disney deal is locking him up for some other new franchise. Just seems like they can't get much more out of the Pirates franchise at this point.

I saw the first 2 Pirates movies, and I loved them.
I'm not sure why I stopped there, I guess they just sort of fell of my radar.

Come to think of it, I may have seen at least parts of the 3rd one too, but I think I fell asleep, which for me, isn't a rare thing while watching movies.
It's like, ok:
• popcorn/snacks
• drink of some description
• agreed upon movie (the hardest and most time consuming part)
•proper lighting
•big fat bowl of combustibles

Almost every time. It's like the opening credits are a signal to my brain to take a nap or something.
