hi all,

I've seen couple of Joe's Epi Norm Burst guitars with updated pick-ups for sale, specifically upgraded stock Epi Probuckers to Gibson Burstbuckers 1 and 2.

I'd be curious to know if such upgrade changes the sound drastically on this guitar.

What should be expected as result of the upgrade?
I have to say that I don’t feel the need to upgrade the pickups. Happy with the ones that are there. I’ve made that mistake before: replacing perfectly fine standard pups with supposedly superior brands. On top of that there were some blind tests done with the Epiphone Probucker - against boutiques and Gibson pups - and they more than held their own.

That looks like 70's clown burst not even a good 1960 clown burst, lol.

I can't say for this particular guitar but I've upgraded to BB1/2 with a new harness in my Custom. For my particular guitar it definitely was an upgrade.
