yeah i was kinda disappointed when Gibson put out the Jimmy Page Custom a few years ago and it did not have 3 separate toggle switches for the pickups.

I'm offended by the prices of the Gibson reissues. Absolutely insane pricing.

The cheapest is from the 90s run and those are still 4k.

Page gave him a 1959 LP Custom.

Producer/musician Perry Margouleff, a friend of Page’s, collects vintage guitars and owns a recording studio in New York’s Long Island. Margouleff and Westgor hatched a solution: Page would give Claesgens a comparable Les Paul Custom — a 1959 model, value about $45,000 — in exchange for Black Beauty. (Guitar geeks: Only 189 of these 1960 Les Paul Customs were shipped, 246 for the ’59 version.)

It does amaze me that 50s 'bursts are worth so much more on the vintage market than contemporary Customs. By like five to one.
