So the Supro Black Magick is also a version of this mystery amp?

Possibly a load of Smoke & Mirrors IMHO.

If you can live without the overpriced voodoo.

In Australia call Barry Marie at Barwatt.

In the US call Mike Moody at Magic Amps.

My 2c FWIW.

:cheers2:

They are going to great lengths to hype an amp while giving 0 actual specs.

I guess the 50 signed amps will sell regardless so they dont really have to say much spec wise until the production version anyway.......

All the guitars and all the amps he's ever owned and placed in your hands will not make you sound like Page.

I for one, am OK with it. With my MIM Tele plugged into my Greta, he won't sound like me. And you would ALL be OK with that.

His Dragon tele has been officially released, signed hand painted is 25k.

So, yep.
In addition to the Fender Custom Shop models, Fender will roll out both mirror and painted versions from its production lines. Priced from $1,399.99-$2,499.99, these will not be hand-signed or hand-painted by the artist, although Page did advise Fender first-hand on creation of the design to make sure the guitars were true-to-spec of the original Telecaster.

I wish Supro would make their mind up.

- I bought a 1624T Dual Tone when they came out - which was claimed to be “the amp jimmy used”.

- Then they brought out the “Black Magick” which is apparently a repro of “the modified amp Jimmy used”.

- Now they have a new one endorsed by Jimmy?

And they’ll all be worth about 200 bucks 5 minutes after you’ve bought ‘em because, at the end of the day, no one wants a $1500 Supro. Honestly, never lost so much money on a piece of gear in my life ...

The Supro Black Majick is NOT a reproduction of the Jimmy Page amp. It is powered by 6973s....that right there makes it the wrong amp. It may have been engineered to do a good job producing early Zepp tones...but it is clearly NOT a model of the amp that Page used. They can say whatever they want in their marketing materials.

The "Jimmy Page" amp was a Coronado; see the photos of it in the studio with him in my post earlier in this thread. It is the amp he loaned the R&R HOF a bit over a decade ago. It was smallish 2x10 powered by a pair of 6L6s with a tube rectifier. He replaced the baffle with a 1x12. The new "Sundragon" is a reproduction of that amp, supposedly.

Looks like Magic only makes Fender repops now, I liked how their Supro copy sounded.

So wait... is this from Supro? Or the two dudes who built / designed it? I’m confused.

Here’s how to make your amp sound like LZ1- Take your amp, turn it on, and plug your iPod into it, and play LZ1. Added plus if you have a vinyl player and the record and do the same.

I’ll take my payments in check please.

No one here has ever heard Page's Supro's live tone. You've heard its recorded tone, as miked, EQd, mixed, and played back. If your rig sounds like his recorded tone, great (if that's what you want) but that doesn't mean, at all at all, that it resembles the tone of his amp, live. In fact, it will be quite different. Personally, I have no interest in sounding like anyone's dink recorded tone.
