Interesting. I could see something like this happening as a one time thing...but permanently? Nah...

That's exactly the way I see it, I am sure a once of Project would go well but I seriously have my doubts that they would actually form a permanent band.

I think their styles are far to diverse these days to do anything together on a lasting basis.

i think it would be awesome, but they'd be missing a front man. i don't think clapton has enough fire to fuel this type of band vocally. do the others sing?

All seems rather vague....although now that all the LZ reunion tour stuff is over, I think Page has some tricks up his sleeve for the future. I got the impression he setting up some interesting projects for the next year or two. :hmm:

I think Clapton Has had his fill of super groups..
Besides with 2 guitar players in the band allready why add two more.
And like someone asked who would sing/front the group.

A studio project does not a "group" make. They don't even have to see each other, which might be all for the best.

Kevin Shirley posted this on his website three days ago:

"Tuesday November 24th 2009 Malibu, CA

Hi there - well my post yesterday started an inaccurate internet rumor, which spread like wildfire, even being picked up by the official Gibson site. Many people emailed and I corrected them, but the big guns just had to run with it and wait for the keywords to hit the internet search engines so they'd get traffic to their sites.

There's no supergroup planned with fifty guitarists recording, I'm sorry."

So there's no story here, move along, nothing to see...

;)
