I don't think there was any doubt of this happening, Bubbles. :)

Thought the same thing until a Pearly brought $5,400 with no reserve a month or so back exactly 2 weeks after I bought my R9, saw another one drop from $7,000 down to $6,500 then to 6k even in a matter of a couple of weeks. Point being you can ask what ever you want for something if it's too cheap you will have no end of new friends, if your too high your a lonely SOB needing to find that one guy with a pocket full of cash at exactly the right moment in time. Put that Jimmy 2 on watch and see how long it takes to sell that should be a good indicator how flush everyone who wants one really is.

It makes me sad there are so many people still trying to flip these guitars. Looks like they still haven't learned their lesson from the Rossies, Bloomfields and Pearlies.

Not only did these #2s cost less from an authorized retailer, but when you buy from the gray market you're not even getting Gibson's lifetime warranty, let alone you don't know what kind of stupid sh*t they tried like checking them by leaving them outdoors, razor blading them or whatever.

I would NEVER purchase a guitar as expensive or exclusive as this from an ebay seller I didn't know.

That is hilarious - who´s gonna pay that kind of money for a VOS ?
You can buy two regular R9s for that money and still have enough cash left to convert them to JP wiring incl. new pickups.

That is insane.

I especially like the MRSP of 11K for the VOS - Gibson (what) are you thinking?

i'm confused with respect with bashing these page prices on ebay,
each dealer i called, quoted about 7850.00. i was told the same pitch it's jimmy page and we sell at full map. now if you live in that state you have sales taxes! if you offer low to mid 8s with shipping, how are these sellers a dickhead? maybe i'm missing something?:hmm:
