I've been looking for a good attenuator for a 100 watt amp and I came across the Jettenuator, which seems to be rsonably priced for what it provides (described below). Anybody here have any experience with the Jettenuator? I know there are a lot of attenuators out there, but can anyone recommend an attenuator at the same price point (~$240 U.S.), or is it worth stepping up to a badcat unleash etc. What does a $500 attenuator do that a $250 on doesn't?
Jettenuator
"Jet City's 100 watt attenuator is an excellent tool for both live and recording. Amp inputs at 4-, 8-, and 16-ohms makes Jettenuator more versatile than other attenuators. The continuous attenuation control lets you set the volume right where you want it. A line-level output is also included with its own level control. Use this to connect Jettenuator to an external power amplifier, or effects processors in professional applications.
Rounding out the feature set is the MicSim output. This balanced, XLR output simulates a microphone in front of a speaker, so you can attenuate your amp and send a great-sounding feed to the house, or your recording mixer. Its like a direct box for your cranked-up tube amp."
