granted, I do not buy Marshall amps for their vaunted reverb, LOL. I had a DSL50 very early in the run, brand new. Don't remember a thing about the reverb other than it wasn't exactly a surf machine. Frankly, I never even used it, that's not what I buy a Marshall for.
Last night, I was messing with my recently acquired DSL50 and couldn't tell if the reverb was working or not. The amp is in a basement music room, which was resplendent with natural 'verb when it was empty. Being that it was super cold last night, the HVAC never stopped running during my session. If the amp's reverb was in fact working or on, I couldn't really tell from the rather intrusive noise from the fans.
Do you need a pedal to get the reverb to work? I have a nice reverb pedal that I can put in the effects loop if I must have reverb on the half stack. For all I know, maybe the reverb doesn't work. Again, not what I buy a Marshall for but i would like to know if it works or not. The amp did not come with a pedal.
