Tough one...I like the look of the Jay Turser....but the P-9os in that Agile are awesome too.....I'd probably go with the Jay Turser since I own one already and have been pleased with it.....(I don't own a Les Paul style Jay Turser it's a resonator/electric)

I've heard nothing but good things about Agile. Sorry I can't be of much more help.

The Agile has a maple neck. The Turser clearly has a two, more likely three-piece mahogany neck. The Turser has detailed photos showing that the H string tuner isn't even put in correctly. The Agile has no detailed photos.

Myself, I have a Stellar LP Std alike which is very good overall, including pickups. Bridge was trash. The neck, apart from being a slim taper  is a three-piece mahogany neck. The guitars plays excellent and with a new bridge the bridge pickup sound is good or a little better. The neck sound can't really reflect that, it's just OK, and I blame it on the three-piece slim neck.

So overall I'd press the sellers for more detailed photos and more details on the construction of these guitars. I don't buy from people with blurred photos.

I also have to warn you that P-90ties aren't for everybody. You might want to try them before committing to buying a whole Les Paul with them.

I liked my boss's Agile, it's is heavy, though. The real question is do you want p90s or humbcukers, imo

Ive owned three Agile les pauls with humbuckers and P-90's. I must be the lucky one out there because I absolutely love mine, especially my gold top with the P-90s. it howls. If you can get past the horm you will not be dissappointed. They are heavy and none of mine have any finish flaws.
I also own a 78 Deluxe and a new Faded Standard. The Gibsons hardware is superior but for the money, id buy the agils over epis anyday.

Hope this helps

thanks guys, sounds like the general concensus is to go agile.
seeing as though i cant try either guitar ill levae it to availability...as it depends on the rpice of the agile vs the JT.

only question left:
ive never played with p90's but ive read rave reviews. ive got a gibson sg stardard so ive got humbuckers in one guitar, would you reccomend i get another guitar with humbuckers or give the p90s a go? ive hard p90s and they sound awsome but ive never played them. if i dont like it, can they be interchanged with humbuckers...rnt they similar in size?

Thanks.

Only mini-humbuckers are the same size and since minis require rings they require screw holes that don't allow you to cleanly go back to soapbars.

A major problem with P-90ties is that they hum, and since they have a higher wind than e.g. Strat pickups they hum more. For high-gain they can be unusable for that reason alone.

I also found a variety of problems around P-90 mounts and sizes. For example, a PRS SE Soapbar has pickups that are smaller than normal. You can mount a Seymour Duncan, but only without cover. I try to avoid messes like these.

You can re-route to real humbuckers but that costs.

I own that JT-200 dlx, It is a decent guitar, (wait for it) But in order to make it a good guitar I had to have the fretss leveled and crowned, cuz they was bad. I also changeed out the pups with some from GFS and now its a decent guitar.
when buying inexpensive guitars except a little work

Yeh im prety sure ill go with the jay turser, only because its so much cheaper (agile want alot for aus shipping) which leaves me more money to do some work on it. I planned to change the pups to the slash seymour duncans, and possibly change the pots too. Seeing as though its such a good guitar for the price (being about $300), if i can get one for $50 + $70 postage im laughing.

How much did it cost to get the frets leveled and crowned? Was it worth it? What difference did it make?

Think the slash alnico II pros will sound good in it?

i dont mean to go off topic here but i have a friend who can get me a stagg L400-WH (or BK) for a very cheap price, under cost since he works at the canadian distributor.

The guitar LOOKS good in the picture, i wonder how it looks up close.

the guitar goes for 226$USD retail.
the reason why im buying it is because im planning on making a zakk wylde rebel replica, upgrade the tuners , drop some EMG's in there, something i can mess around with.

I like the look of that guitar! Very much so.
Despite it being $400 i may look into it, but i think postage and communications with the seller may be an issue seeing as though it is in Japan.
I havnt ever heard of Grassroot Guitars guitars but ill do some research and see.

I cant watch the videos, due to my brothers constant downloading putting our net over the limit. But honestly, though it looks really nice, the outward curving single cut is enough to put me off it, in terms of looks. I dont know much about those guitars in terms of vaule, price and quality...but personally that outward curve is 'god damn UGLY' compaired to standard LP's
Just my opinion though.
But thanks for your advise and input, thats no criticism of you.

I havnt ever heard of Grassroot Guitars guitars but ill do some research and see.

It's Ishibashi. All communications are done through emails. They have at least two english speaking people that deal solely with overseas customers. They have sold literally thousands of items to USA folks. Many times with no customs charge! But since you're in Aus., don't know. I've heard strange things about size limits on getting things from Japan for you folks.

Just send 'em an email, see what happens. (prob have to wait till next week for an answer) Tell 'em exactly what you're lookin for, G-LP-50C LH. ( the C = Custom, I'm just guessing that's what you were wantin', G-LP50S LH is the Standard Flametop) And ask them about shipping items to Aus. They like, double box and bubblewrap the heck out of what they ship!

"or those of you who do not read and speak Japanese, please kindly spare us your precious
moment to write us your inquiry sent by e-mail or FAX. "

E-mail: web-shop@ishibashi.co.jp

Welcome all of you to Ishibashi WEB SHOP

whatever kind or brand of guitar you get, looking forward to seeing it! Good luck!
