I don't know. I feel like he's brought a better "edge" to him, but he doesn't have the swagger in my opinion that a Bond should have.

The last movie totally did not feel like a Bond movie. More like a shooter.

I'll give you that with the last one but for me, Casino Royale reinvented Bond the way Batman Begins did with that franchise. I think the other Bonds worked in a world where Monte Carlo was the height of sophistication, but that was also a world where Joe Public didn't do much international travelling. Plus, of course, the whole thing WAS getting a bit too formulaic and gadgety. The new Bonds - especially Casino Royale - have been much more character-driven and I think Bond himself now has a bit more of a (much needed) unpredictable edge.

I have to say Roger Craig, for the shear fact that the bond movies were becoming a joke...the 2 new ones are short the many cliche one liners, and have some great acting...plus there weren't any bond girl actors whose profiles would demand more lines or something...

I think you mean he lacks too many cheesy one liners...He isn't exaclty like Connery, but heck, I think Craig does a great job. Definitely the most fit out of the Bonds.

For this time period definitely. Movies are evolving. He still needs to step it up.

Connery, Goldfinger. I like Craig but he doesn't have the contrast of suave playboy and professional killer.

Hmmm, good point. But he does seem a lot more 'professional killer' than any previous Bond with the possible exception of Timothy Dalton.

In the books, bond wa smore like Casino Royale. He was hungover after he drank and wasn't bulletproof. For that, I like Craig.

Connery is the classic though.

I did like Connery but for some reason I preferred Roger Moore.

To me James Bonds have not been the same since. Connery and Moore gave the character something that the others didn't for me.

My favorite is From Russia With Love.

It had all the ingredients--Q, car chases, trains, boats, aircraft, stunts, gadgets, crazy women, deadly villains, etc, etc.

Roger Moore was awesome. I love Connery too, but Moore was, oh, how would you say? Slick.....Sultry. A View To A Kill is still my fave.

Yeah I liked Moore, Brosnan was excellent also. Craigs character is too P.C modern. No Smoking,womanizing...and he cries. As a matter of fact there is a scene where he gets his balls smashed in and the next scene we see him,its like he's on Oprah. I don't think that was an accident.

A lot of people seem to be missing that the new movies are based on the beginning of 007 career, where the Connery films were about an accomplished spy. Everything is going to be rough and seedy because he is new and hasnt any experience. I especially like they have made it waaaaaay more realistic. Dont get me wrong I love the old films and have watched them all a millions times and have them on bluray but Craig is the man. I never even liked him before he became bond, he has done a great job.

I would say that
Connery
Craig
Brosnan
Moore

I think the two latest movies with Craig are pretty good. They are just no Bonds though.

For me Connery and Moore were the best.

Sean Connery is the only Bond... But I started at the begining so it is hard to replace him for me...
