Jake may be the loudest guitarist I've ever heard live, but wow can he tear up a guitar!

I saw the title of this thread and HAD to see what it was all about!!!!

That is a "patented" ACE lick for sure.

Nice,

I am myself a Ace maniac, but don't play his style too much.
I really like Shock Me guitar leads, it's real nice.

Most of his solos were great, lots of feeling.
Jake is a monster, he rip the strings, and he plays so fluidly, he's cool to watch and listen.

Nice vid...
Ozzy without him is shit...

Looks like he's playing an "Ace scale" but faster and cleaner than Ace. Jake plays it with more precision, but Ace plays it with much more feel.
I still get chills though every time I hear the first few bars of Bark At The Moon.

I love Jake E. Lee. No matter where I travel on the web, everyone says the same thing. Where is this guy? I think I read he lost his passion in the '90s with the change in the rock scene. His Retraced album was pretty cool. Sure would like a new cd.

Jake is very cool. Get the Badlands stuff if you don't have it. I never dug his tone, but his playing was great, especially live.

I read that Jake has been doing some studio work. Supposedly he played on the whole Enuff Z' Nuff album "Dissonance."

jakeelee.com has the scoop

Remember that video Ozzy put out in '86 live where Jake was doing his solo spot and Ozzy came out while jake was on the ground and grabbed his hair and swung his head around. I bet that hurt.

Go to 1:58 below! Ouch!

This is all reminding me of the time I saw Jake live w/ Ozzy -- for 30 seconds. Me and a couple buddies arrived late, bought tickets (wondered why the ticket kid looked amazed), ran in, had seats 50 ft from the stage, the whole band was jammin', they finished the tune and Ozzy said, "Thank you -- good night!" That was the freakin' encore! Doh!

He influenced me as much as Ace Frehley to pickup the guitar. I was pissed when Oz dumped him.

Me too, but also be thankful Ozz kicked him out. Would we have had the excellent Badlands without that move?

Besides, I can't imagine Jake would have stayed on very long with that hair pulling thing going on. Once okay, twice: knock it off. Third time and I would have hit Ozzy myself. End of Ozzy career.
