I saw "Night and the City" many years ago. I don't know if it was a bad reel, faulty projector set-up, or what, but in every scene, you could see the microphones hanging down as well as some of the filming crew. It was so bad, I walked out after 30 minutes.

I'm sure everyone that carries a weapon, either on duty or off duty or both knows this one.

When military or law enforcement are on a mission or about to walk into a dangerous situation, they all pause and then cycle a round into the chamber.

They've been walking around or on patrol with a weapon with no round in the chamber.

Sigh.

And the noise of the bolt being racked gives their position away.:laugh2:

Ever hear of the Kalashnikov click? (and that sound is with a round already in the chamber)

This one has so many continuity errors in it, the editor must have been drunk. Court scenes where the shirts magically change, different tie, different ear rings, etc.

I have a pet peeve with movies set in WWII using incorrect equipment, insignia, paint schemes, uniforms, etc. Fortunately, recent filmmakers seem to be getting better in this regard, but there are some real stinkers out there.

One movie that immediately comes to mind is the Battle of the Bulge. There are all kinds of dreadful aesthetic issues with this movie - the most obvious to me is the use of U.S. M47's to represent German Tiger tanks. Then there's the plot, location, weather....horrible film.

In the Avengers when Hulk is trying to pick up Thors hammer, seeing as he can't do it and starts breaking the floor himself and Hulks strength is listed as limitless why doesn't the hammer go thru the floor of the ship in the first place. Or if the floor is super strong pull the ship to the ground.

On a side note: Hulk is supposed to be able to pick up buildings and mountains...wouldn't he sink into the ground.

When Thor loses the hammer why does it sit on the ground and not sink into the Earth...does it detect dirt or the lowest...I dunno it doesn't make f**king sense.

When Hulk is fighting Abomination and uses cars to smash, uh I mean both their skins are tougher than cars/metal that would be like putting padded gloves on.

When Hulk picks up a Tank by the gun barrel and swings it around, maybe that's possible but doesn't seem like it...the barrel should bend and break off.

When T.V Hulk dies because he falls from an airplane...uh so a car going 129mph hits him should kill him.

What do you have against grumpy old men, besides the obvious?

The general degree of grumpiness i'd say. :) Some of the gripes in this thread are making me laugh!

I don't hate grumpy old men of course. I'm trying not to become one. :laugh2:

Thors hammer isn't "Heavy",..it's magic.

Only Thor can pick it up. Not because of weight but because Thor is the one the hammer has chosen.

...Steve Rogers/Captain America was able to move the hammer though. ...though v-e-r-y slightly.

Not because he's stronger than Hulk,..but because Mjolnir (that's the hammers name and yes I'm a dork) sees that Rogers spirit is good....soul is pure,...however you want to put it.

If the hammer were "heavy" like that it would've crushed Loki.

But it didn't.

Because it's not weight. It's magic.

Think of it as the hammer fixing itself to a point in time-space,..and once it affixes itself to that x,y,z coordinate it will not be moved unless it wants to,...or Thor calls it.

Loki is incredibly powerful and all he could do under the hammer was squirm a bit.

In the spirit of the thread (and since we're b*tching comic book movies)...

It bugs me in the first Iron Man that Tony Stark in a war torn hostile country is supposed to be driving around with no armed guards in a couple of Humvees.

Pretty sure a Billionaire, Dignitary, etc. on a business trip selling arms to the US would have much better protection.

Sure the story is the kidnapping was a setup by Obidiah Stane (the guy running Stark Industries) but still, Tony Stark would've had armed guards and protection,..and most likely would've been flying to where he was going and not riding in the Humvee with a couple of soldiers.
