There’s payroll income tax but no sales tax. So that’s cool with me. Kinda nice not having to pump gas too.

News flash! You can pump your own gas in Rural areas if you want to! No State sales tax. I believe Multnomah County has a 1% sales tax. The City of Ashland ( read Shakespere festival) has a tax on food purchases..
Sales tax proposals come up every election cycle, and so far, they have been voted down. So, be a financially aware Oregonian a register to vote! LOL

In Oregon:
Have to admit there are stupid politics and general nuttiness issues here, but they are mostly in the urban centers. Out here in the Cowboy East, it's nice!

Like everywhere else. The kooky stuff usually happens mostly in Urban areas where free programs and handouts exist.

Very true still even in CA, though you’d never know based on how it’s portrayed. The inhabitants of the city centers of SF, LA, Sacto, and SD determine what happens across a state that the inhabitants of those cities never even bother to visit unless they’re driving through on their way to Mammoth or Tahoe.

Just got back from CA. Flew into Oakland. Helped a friend drive one of their cars back to Queen Creek AZ where they recently bought a house. They sold their house in Concord. He and his girlfriend are thrilled to be leaving CA. They grew to hate the state after living there for ten years. Gawd the traffic is awful there and everything is so expensive. Gas prices are insane.

Look at the positives.... heroin is legal and you can literally drop a duece where you stand! Paradise.......just dont be caught with a sippy straw!!!!!..........serious jail time for that.
