A €1trillion European Green deal fund has been set up over the next 10 years to make Europe carbon neutral. :eek2: https://electrek.co/2020/01/14/european-green-deal-budget-1-trillion/

The list of towns/cities in the UK that are banning or curtailing ICE vehicles or putting WPL (workplace parking levies) or pollution taxes is growing by the day, It's getting pretty scary at the speed major cities are banning/taxing private car use & stating you will have to use public transport to enter these places.

Here are just a few cities that have announced these measures in the last few days and a couple of long standing ULEZ's. :eek2:

Birmingham https://www.transport-network.co.uk/No-through-trips-Birmingham-curtails-the-car-to-keep-city-moving/16387
Newcastle https://www.transport-network.co.uk/Newcastle-given-room-to-Breathe/16389
Edinburgh https://www.transport-network.co.uk/Edinburghs-2030-vision-means-more-trams-fewer-cars/16386
Cardiff https://airqualitynews.com/2020/01/14/welsh-government-rubber-stamps-cardiffs-21m-clean-air-plan/
Oxford https://www.transport-network.co.uk/Councils-join-up-to-tackle-Oxfords-car-dependency/16394
Manchester https://airqualitynews.com/2019/12/19/manchester-council-announce-zero-carbon-target/
Bristol https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-50292596
London https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/ulez-london-ultra-low-emission-zone-charge-2021
York https://www.localgov.co.uk/Council-aims-to-make-York-city-centre-car-free/48746
The car makers are now releasing 214 electric car models  in 2021 to make the new stricter emission deadline.

16 large-scale lithium-ion battery cell plants are confirmed or likely to come online in Europe by 2023. The confirmed plans alone will deliver up to 131 GWh of battery production capacity. :wow:

How very dare you! :laugh2:, That is so out of date for the UK, Coal is only 2.2% of the national electricity grid and mostly used as a back up. All coal fired power stationed will be defunct here by 2025.

not to mention how filthy it is producing rare earth batteries themselves.

I wonder what the total 'carbon load' over a 20 year lifespan is of a i.c.e. compared to and ev. Everything: production, operation, maintenance, and final disposal.
