Is this nickel or chrome?! Legit ABR?

Hey gang,

I just snagged a wired ABR1 - supposedly the piece was lifted off of a 62 SG.

Well, given the pitting/corrosion I am really having a hard time considering this as nickel... There's a shiny quality to it that seems too "much" for how old it is.

Obviously it wasn't cheap and I still have the chance to return it.

Any input would be MUCH appreciated - I would really like to sleep tonight, hahahaha.

If any more pics would help just say the word.

Yeah, but I didn't actually see the hardware come off the SG and the finish makes me uncertain. I don't have a ton of experience with vintage hardware and it was too pricey to not verify when I saw how sort-of shiny it looked.

I would also be wary, I would like to buy an original bridge, but how can you be absolutely sure it is what it is said to be? To me that looks really crudely aged to make it look old. The effect looks over the top.

Not an expert by any means, but I think that's chrome that's been aged with acid...

The longer I look at it the less convinced I am - it doesn't match up with the grovers and tailpiece pieces I have that I know are legit.

I'm gonna cut bait and move on.

It looks like it was over exposed to vinager in an attempt to relic?

Normaly nickel warmer color, chrome cold (blue).
This one looks nickel to me.
