2002 R8. The inlays are a giveaway.
Pity about the missing COA and OHSC, but the guitar looks great.

there are classics from the custom shop as well, so it might not be an incident :thumb:

True that! But the guy who sold it to me said he lost the original case so he got that one as a replacement :)
In any case, were you looking to acquire that guitar in the link? It's a darned nice one man! :applause: :dude:

Looks like a killer 2002 R8, but the price is a bit high, but it has a great flame top!!!

IMO...it's very bad taste to post a thread on a Forum member's for sale ad and question it.
No shit.

Let's all just talk about him in the third person, like he's not here, shall we?

Gauche.

it's not a matter of taste (be it bad or good), it's a matter of information. He might not have known for sure either... there are sellers like this who say this is a historic, but then it turns out not being a historic or from a compl. diff. year as stated. So hold your horses!

I think the point would be To ask the seller directly, privately...or at least in the for sale thread. I think that seller has a number of historics for sale

Nice (!) guitar, but share your concerns with the seller in their thread or PM them about it or do more research and learn something in the process.

Definitely a '58 reissue.

Classic's have a larger font size for the serial #. Classic's also have uncovered pickups as stock, this one has covered pickups although they could have been changed out. The serial # font is a dead giveaway though.
