A guitar that was done in tru oil?

No pore filler, no anything. Just tru oil rubbed or sprayed on.

I can't figure out how to copy/paste with my phone, but the guitar in question is in the Other Single Cuts section here on the forum titled Historic Killin' Wraptail. Basically just a Les Paul.

I would love to get it refinished properly if possible.

Yes it can be finished over. it must be prepped and I would recommend sealing with an Isolante and then the finish of your choice.

Thanks for the info, BHoward. I have avoided purchasing Tru-Oiled guitars for fear of being unable to do a different finish on a Tru-Oiled surface. Good to know!
