That's awful. I wonder if he still tour s with or plays that brown Strat he used to play back in the 70s? Nils had a bunch of gear for sale on Reverb a while back.

That's a cryin' shame. I've always known him from Neil Young first, I know most people dislike Neil but I've especially liked it when they've worked together. I think his first pro gig was on "After the Gold Rush" when he was 18 or so.

Perpetrator appears to be a troll-sized male gangsta with a pig nose, an overbite and a cleft lip. Photo appears to have been taken using a state-of-the-art Motorola Razor phone c.2004.

If she wasn't dead I would say it's Joan Rivers...
Or maybe she isn't really dead and she needs money...

I think it was the Georgia band DrivinNCryin that recently had someone hook up their trailer full of basically everything at a hotel and abscond with it. Also happened to a guy I know here in town out of his driveway. Happens with construction trailers all the time.

Many years ago someone broke in my house when I was in college and stole a Twin, some stereo receivers, 2 Fender Rhodes cabs, a Gibson bass and a cloth bag full of pennies. Sitting in the middle of all this on the couch was my 73 Deluxe which I still have. Not long after someone robbed the BBQ joint next door and killed the guy running it. Better lucky than good.

That is sad.Good it has national news exposure,CBS.Be also good to post photos of the instruments with the article for coast to coast exposure.Make sure those low-lifes cannot fence them.

Dallas,eh? Johnny Winter said it best, not safe in Dallas......

Goin' back to Dallas, take my razor and my gun
Goin' back to Dallas, man, take my razor and my gun, oh yeah
Lots of people lookin' for trouble, man, sure gonna give 'em in some
I believe old Dallas, man, is the meanest town I know
I believe that Dallas, man, is the meanest town I know
Because you're not safe in Dallas, I don't care where you go
You know that I'm evil, just want to have some fun
There's so much shit in Texas, I'm bound to step in some
Goin' back to Dallas, take my razor and my gun
If there are people lookin' for trouble, sure gonna give 'em some
I load up my revolver, sharpen up my knife
Some redneck messin' with me man, I'm bound to have his life
Down to Dallas, take my razor and my gun
Man, people there lookin' for trouble, sure gonna give 'em some
Songwriters: Johnny Winter

...into Lofgren's van, which had been parked outside a Holiday Inn, between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

I’m just laughing at this part because when you can park your van at a Holiday Inn instead of the Motel 6 it is one of the signs that you’ve made it.

What's the point in security cameras that take such poor quality images that you can't make out a person's face or the numbers on a license plate? Waste.

I *think* they are cell phone images, digitally zoomed.
