I have a 2008 Les Paul Custom Silverburst that I love. I bought one of the all brass GFS bridges for my Explorer, and I liked it so much I decided to put one on my Custom as well. I got the black unit and the matching curved tailpiece. I installed the GFS bushings as well which meant I had to enlarge the holes slightly. I really like these GFS bridges because everything is locked down with allen screws. No more buzzy retainer wire. The bridge and tailpiece are a tad heavier and feel more substantial than the stock pot-metal, especially the bushings. I can't say that I hear a difference, if I could I would assume it to be more psychological than and actual audible difference. I do think it looks cool and like the way it is made.

I also changed the tuner buttons to ebony since the bridge hardware is blacked out. Here are some pics.
