Inspired by Gibson

Man these Inspired by Gibson models have ruined me for other Les Pauls models. I can’t stand the clipped wing headstock on the older models. All the other specs are there too. I’ve have had three now. I traded my 60s ebony for a Nashville Tele. But I have my 50s and Classic Worn both of which are amazing guitars. They are setup perfect with no finish issues, fret sprout or high frets. I absolutely love these two guitars. I wish hadn’t traded the 60s as I really miss it and will be getting another soon. I also want a 59 as I hear those are great also. I was wanting a Gibson LP but I’m truly so happy with these that I’m not jonesing for a Gibson anymore. If one came along at a great price I’d still get it but its not a priority. Who else is loving their Inspired by Gibson Les Pauls.

I currently own 2 Studios, TV Yellow Special and SG with Maestro.

I would highly suggest that people buy sooner rather than later on some models like the 59 as prices are going up, very fast.

I predict the Adam Jones, when it is finally released will be even more expensive than the $1299 Bonamassa 335.

yeah, the 50s goldtop i got back in may 2020 seems to have pretty much squelched that Les Paul itch for at least the foreseeable future. At this point id prob only go Gibson if I found one super cheap with a broken headstock to be fixed or something. But Ive said things like no more guitars 6-7 guitars ago so who knows

The only thing I’m thinking about changing is putting some zebra Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups in the Les Paul Classic. Not because the stock ones sound bad I just really want a guitar with those pickups in it.

I did the same thing actually, but with seth lovers. My thinking was to bounce the probuckers(which are pretty good) to another guitar. Plus the Bigsby, just cause why not. But recently the probuckers moved again as i picked up a pretty neat goil foil to throw in my epi 339 where they were. The neck PB is in another epi LP now

Yeah the ProBuckers in my 50s LP sound really good and I won’t be changing them.

Yeah I went a little crazy during lock down buying these things! I think I have 3 59's a JB Laz the Ebony Custom . 2 50's Standards Gold tops Had a 60's Bourbon Burst I had to let go. I have the regular ebony classic and a couple more i forgetting i am sure. I am fixing to list one of my 50's Gold tops due to health issues. Loaded with the SD Aph2's and tone pro bridge.

Wow that’s a lot of guitars! I have trouble hanging on to them. I just sold an Epiphone Broadway and a Worn Casino. The Broadway felt too much like a one trick pony and I just didn’t like the worn finish on a casino. But these two Les Pauls I seem to be bonding with rather nicely so I think I’ll try to hold on to these.

Yeah i weed out the ones i don't like. Problem is now all the ones I have I dont want to get rid of. I have been out of work for a few months and have had to sell a couple. In fact I have a 50s gold top and my Slash Anaconda i am going to have to sell.. My 59s nd JB are safe though i would never part with them... Going to see if i can get 450 out of the gold top pictured above. I really hate selling these things their like my kids!!

I am just as happy with my Epiphones as I would be with a Gibson. I don’t think my playing is held back one bit by playing an Epiphone. Of course the only Gibson Les Paul I’ve ever owned was a 68 that I bought as a teenager in the 80s. Man I do wish I still had that guitar though.

They are great, but why two of the exact same? I had and ebony Standard '60s first, then I got the bourbon burst as well. I decided that instead instead of having two Standard '60s I'd sell the ebony and get a heritage sunburst Standard '50s.

I didn't set out to own to 50s gold tops. I did a trade with my brother and wound up with a second one. I was able to sell one of them off to a member a few days ago. Now as far as the 59's go lol I own 4 of them and want another one of these days...

Decided to give up for a while..had to water the plants.. feed my animals..walk dog..go to work..
A week later got emails from both companies that my item shipped.. sigh..lucky me..
Resigned myself to the fact that I now had 2..guess I'll use one for my many pickup swap experiments.. I currently have around 7 different sets of new pickups...one day I might fire up the old Weller and go for it...
Right now.. I'm dealing with cortisone shots in my left shoulder..
So..*"[email protected]$_"*"###... I'm just sipping my coffee watching tv..sigh..
Anyways that's why I have 2 identical Gibson Les Paul 60s Bourbon Burst...sigh..

That's crazy, when you said you had two Standard '60s I thought you meant Epiphones. That's some serious loot for two identical guitars. I get it though, I just got my first Gibson, a Standard '50s in bourbon burst. Now I'm can't stop looking at '60s Standards. I'm thinking of getting one of the Wildwood Standard '60s.

Thanks.. I do have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s Ebony.. unplayed so far..I had planned to gut it..go 50s traditional wiring..Pro...or..Custom Buckers..
I like the Epiphone 50s.. I want one..but I have small girl hands..so no 50s necks for me...sigh
today I plan on sipping my coffee..you know the rest..sigh

Yup...congrats!...the 59s and the Lazarus are great guitars..the 59s are underpriced..years from now people will be saying why didn't I buy one or two... relatively inexpensive...don't need to change anything...polish the top or dont..easy....I have quite a few 59s.. and 2 Lazaruses..is that a word?..lol..
