After spending most of the summer looking for a small amp, I honed in on the Vibrochamp, but thought it was a bit pricey at £700-£800 UK price. I stumbled on a small cottage industry that build their own. The site said they had some in stock but when I emailed they had sold. Owner said they could build me on in my own spec. So, tweed covering, valve rectifier chosen and I let him get on with it. Yesterday he sent me images and it's ready to ship on Monday. Hand wired and built. This looks like a keeper.... unfortunately the photos are too high quality for this site !!!!!

Its a Jensen 10 Alnico. Not sure if it's a P10R or Q tho.
A great speaker, and mine smoothed out considerably over time and playing moderately loud..

Also it's a fairly inefficient speaker, so it'll keep your overall volume down...

It's only gone and arrived. Changed the two 12ax7s for my TAD Mullard clone and a TAD selected to replace a no name 12AT7 and a EH 12ax7. Came with a Sovtex 5Y3 and EH 6v6 GT. Trem is footswitch controlled and is lush. Very well made and delighted with my £500 spent. Both the Gibson and Fender sound very nice through it, just need the Jensen 10 Alnico to break in.

HNAD. Enjoy it.

You end up with a R or a Q speaker?

I've tried both but ended up with a Q which can handle 40W, and later breakup/cleaner.

It's the P10R that's been installed. 8ohm. Quite bright so it needs to smooth out a bit. Great tone though.

Very nice, Congrats. How many watts is that, a 5w?
Missed your message. It's a 4 watt approx according to the booklet the builder put together documenting the build, complete with pic if it getting built and a fender Vibrochamp schematic.
