Well.....
I told myself that I was DONE for the year after I bought Ericthered's 2016 Honeyburst traditional. That put me at 9 LP's, all acquired in the last 18 months, so I figured it was time to stop and be a reasonable adult for a while. My guitar count is too high and my Savings and retirement funds are comfortable, but not where I'd like them to be, so I was committed to plugging my money away for the rest of the year.
Then..... I stumbled across a facebook post on a gear trading page. One of the most gorgeous and unique looking honeyburst-type finish guitars I'd ever seen. All the hardware appeared to be aged, and just fit the guitar perfectly. 2013 Gibson Les Paul Traditional in Caramel burst. No weight relief at all.
Spoke with the seller in depth about the guitar and found out he had made numerous changes/upgrades to the guitar, all in line with things I would have done myself including:
-Wolfetone Dr Vintage Pickups
-Creamtone 500k Vintage Wiring Harness,
-Creamtone aged ABR1 Bridge and Tailpiece
-Creamtone Aged Amber Knobs & Pointers
-Aged Grover Tuners
After speaking with him at length about the guitar, I decided I had to have the damn thing. Great price, great shape, and great looking guitar. I realized that the seller was none other than MLP's own Satchmo, and that this guitar has a reputation on this board and other forums.
Anyways, I'm really excited for the guitar to show up tomorrow and play the hell out of it. It's speaking to me without even playing it, lets hope it really speaks to me on that first A chord!
