Thank you! To know that there are people that fight for my neighbors, my family, my city, and my own personal safety every day and die for it... is amazing. I sleep better at night.

In respect for those over seas right now,

Seriously, much respect and thanks for all the hard fighting soldiers do everyday! They're out there risking their lives so that our freedoms can be preserved. The least we can do is honor them and remember those who have died fighting for the cause. Some of us really have no idea what they go through on the battlefield. A BIG THANK YOU!

...remember those who have died fighting for the cause...

Thanks for remembering.

Memorial Day is a time for all Americans to pause and reflect on those who have made the ultimate sacrifice: so that we may all celebrate the alotted day in freedom, and enjoy our lives: which has been PURCHASED, with THEIR LIVES as the price paid. A sacrificial substitution.

Having a bad day? Any one of our war dead from time immemorial would trade with any of us who live and can enjoy the sun, and the love of our families, in peace.

Thanks to those that have fallen to ensure our freedoms, and our very lives.

Here's to those who were terrified and couldn't sleep through the first night of boot, to all those who where too proud to admit to that fact, to all those who thought honor is something worth dying for, to all who didn't fall flat on their faces not to give the DI the satisfaction, to all who invented new cuss words in the mess hall.. to all who gave all, and did so proudly, for you and me and everybody else, even those who wouldn't think twice about spitting on their faces....

Here's one for you boys, you will always live in our hearts.

SEMPER FI or whatever it is others say. "at ease", you did your work and did so bravely!

Long will live your memory, forever your sacrifice!

RIP.

May the pain of your brother's loss make wide your place for joy in some way.

Warmest regards always.

For Browning Wiggs, who fell in combat at Vicksburg, Mississippi on the 3rd of July, 1863. (Fought on the side of the Union, from the State of IL)

He died on the 17th of July, 1863, 13 days after the Confederate surrender. He enlisted in 1862, a Southern Illinois farmer.

I'm not worthy enough to say anything except thank you to those who served.
