I recently read the forum on the Fake Les Pauls...and i'm wondering...who sells them? And how do they copy the boxes and manuals and stuff...It might be a dumb question, but I have seen a lot of fake epi and gibson les pauls in music stores and pawn shops.

thanks for any help.

What music stores have you seen fakes in?? Thats strange to me man. If its a reputable store there wont be any fakes in them. They are mainly sold on FleaBay and other shady online places. As far as the manuals, bro come on, its 2009. All you need is some dork with a copy machine and BAM, you got manuals :thumb:

The music stores weren't franchise stores like musicians supply or sims or guitar center, but local music shops. I asked the dealer if he knew he was selling fake guitars, and he asked me to leave...haha lame huh.

Don't just let them sell them, you need to save them, and potentially other customers from buying cheap crap! Go back there, take some evidence or some research, and show to the owner that you know what you're talking about. In the long run i bet they'll thank you, and you'll have made a friendly music shop you can keep going back to, i know that i always enjoy going back to a music shop that I've got a friend in, just makes it that more fun going there! Go on, help them out, in the long run you're helping yourself and the customers! :thumb:

That's all well and good but if you go back to the shop and start telling the guys who work there that their stuff is fake you better be 1,000% sure that your right. Take THE GUITARIST advise and do your homework first. If you cant prove to them that the stuff is shit, you could find yourself in a pickle bro. So if your gonna go save the world, make sure your ass is covered first.
