So, I just moved last month up to this much much smaller school, and I f**king hate everyone here. My class is tiny, only about 40 people or so, over half of them drink/smoke, and not to mention there is an abundance of MIP's floating about the school. The popular kids wear tilted hats, curse a lot, and have diamond ear rings. Even though they live in the country... Then on the other side, theres all stoners / skateboard potheads. But of course, they all drink/smoke mostly.

Out of the two friends I've made, they hate everyone just as much as I do, and say that I was pretty unfortunate to move here from my big school down by Omaha.

There are no concerts up here, no one who even listens to my kind of music, and everyone is a dick and thinks they know everything..

In all honesty, if they were to attend my old school, they would get torn apart for acting the way they do.

I have the possibility of moving back, but I don't wanna appear weak to my father for not liking the whole "I don't fit in thing". Which is actually the case. And every time I make an attempt to tell him how things are at school, he insists that "It can't be that bad."

I'm so freaking homesick right now.

Sorry for the vent.

You hang in there for a bit.......see how it goes......also build your case if you want a change so you can explain it to your Dad.

I hated school.......only class I liked was Electric Shop.........I hated all the preppies, jocks, blacks and ROTCies .......hung out only with about 4 or 5 other people....now I hate them too.

I'm not dead set on moving back yet. I wanna graduate where I fit in, with all my friends. But the entire reason I moved back up to our ranch was to get away from my mother. We don't exactly "get along".

Regardless, I'm not sticking around once I leave here. I intend to live in Omaha, and jump right back into playing gigs. (Which is easily the part I miss the most.)

Once more - Sorry about the whole "venting" thing.

It's tough moving and making new friends in high school. Just keep your head up and do your own thing and you'll find your niche.

It could always be worse.

I hated all the jerkos in school. I hung on to friends that were into music and cars.:)

Way back in the time of dinosaurs, I and my fellow outcasts started a band. We were suddenly cool.

Start a band. If you can't, start a trio; if you can't, start a duo; if you can't, develop a solo act.

Having lots of "school chums" is highly over-rated.

That sucks dude, but IMO you should try and make it, you've already made 2 friends, that would be enough for me to give the place a chance.

Sadly the whole world is that way right now... from what you say you are just a normal guy who wants to live his life, I wish most people would learn to be that way.

Calm down, bertzie. I'm rather confident he means the entire grade. That's pretty small.

I certainly hope so. Being in a single class of 40 people would give me a bloody heart attack. Hell, being in the same building as 40 people puts me on edge.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's an unusually large single "class" size anymore.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's an unusually large single "class" size anymore.

I grew up until 5th grade in a 2 room country school with just me and one other kid in my class.

Then, moved to the Omaha area, and there were almost 300 in my class. I loved it.

Then I come here, only 40 or so in my class.

Unfortunately there were only 40 or so total douche bags in my class of 300... It's like being stuck with them all day every day.

Also, a reply to the "2 friends, give it a chance" thing - They're both seniors. Graduating in 10 days.

Hang in there and just do your own thing. Shit has a tendacy to work itself out after a while...maybe they're not all dicks. Take River's advice and start a band...then hang with the girlies :naughty:
