The answer: Frogfur's adventures.Where would you go? Anyplace you know of on the planet to go to escape the insanity? Give me some ideas. As much as I love the United States, the last 6 months has transformed it into something I don't recognize. Not saying I'm planning on leaving but was just thinking about what are the alternatives? I can't come up with anything attractive.
Buy a sailboat and just mozy around the sea....I know nothing about sailing except having a compass is a good idea, and a fishing pole or two.....(I dont really fish either)
But there is a whole community of sea goers out there who are raising families abroad, and doing very well....Looks like a lot of fun....and it appears to be a permanent vacation.... (there's a bunch of you tube channels devoted to this way of life)
but the US is best, I have been all over the place and quality of life is unmatched anywhere else, (except maybe Canada, Scandinavia,- Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and Australia - New Zealand ....
And Chilean Patagonia looks real nice....

Im going to China. I hear it's really nice there and they treat their citizens really well. Lots of freedoms, great pay and clean living.

The Doobie Brothers wrote a song about it.
Take that, you Dixie Despot.
This has become problematic post-Covid, unless you stay within the territorial waters of your own country. Paperwork and clearance has become much more excruciating...Liveaboards abroad are trapped or prevented from hailing a port.
Even at the best of times, you still need a home based to register the vessel, and all the 'virtual anchor and chain' that entails. The laws of your flag pertain on-board as well, in international waters, and the flags of the host country when in their waters. A little known fact. So, US laws apply when in the middle of say the Atlantic, if you are US flagged.
At sea, no poles required for decent fishing. You can drag a lure from a large hoop reel of line.
Compass is worthless without a sextant and good charts. GPS plotter the norm, but better have a backup.
Your vacation is more like a full-time job. Boat duties and maintenance and repair are a constant.
Most folks view of care-free sailing is like a privileged millennial's view of socialism. Idyllic without understanding the innate system at play, the nitty-gritty details and harsh realities.
more pictures of high mountain streams, weapon equipped, the latest AR15,hunting,fishing in pristine wilderness...wildlife at your front door...no people...lots of home grown weed to keep you stoned continuously...and a highly edited service record.
That’s funny. Us Montana folks don’t think to highly of Missoula. It’s the most Californicated city here next to Bozangeles.
Lol
thanx for killing my dream !!!
I could never ...physically ...actually do that...
But your example of a millennial view is probably spot on
it just looks fun.... l
I know cause I seen it on the television....Every damn thing there wants to kill you....

One trip down Reserve st. will make you think twice about what’s happening in Montana.
