NGD!! Yippeee!

Check this out.....

I rode over to Cabela's (now Bass Pro Shops) this morning 45 minutes after they opened. I was looking for small pistol primers. There were none so, I wandered over to the Gun Library for the hell of it. They had put this out for sale minutes before. I spotted it and had to look it over in hand.

A little back story on this revolver. This was for sale in that store about a year ago for $2799 new. Someone bought it. They recently brought it back in unfired condition to sell. They may have had money problems or something, but, who knows?

I'm including the sales receipt to show why I just had to buy it. Oh well another safe queen.

FWIW I also finally found a OWB holster that works for me, a Tulster Contour. My M&P 9C rides high and tight, and actually conceals pretty good with just something light over it, like a jacket.
I still need to get a Shield or something similar for EDC, but the Contour does what I was looking for. And the company was a pleasure to deal with.

If you like hybrid holsters at all, check out Hidden Hybrid Holsters. I have one for my Beretta M9A1 and one of their spare mag pouches -- they're both convertible IWB/OWB. I carry mine IWB.

Supremely comfortable, good retention, conceals REALLY FUCKING WELL, even with a Beretta M9A1 on my small, 5'8" 170 lbs frame. I love it. I'd like to get another one for my Glock 43, but I've got other things to spend money on for the time being.

any shoulder holster recommendations for a 4" model 27? I was trying to config one and they were asking me the exact dimensions of the front sight. I'd like a shoulder holster with vertical orientation, if possible.

If you like leather shoulder holsters, Bianchi features a very nice model called an "X15". I've owned one since 1982, use it with my K-Frame Model 66 S&W, but it also accepts a compact-type M1911 pistol very securely and nicely.

It's secure enough that you can be rolling around on the ground with some asshole, and your handgun will stay put until you decide to draw it-- even though with some models there are no clasps, just a split-faced, spring-loaded enclosure.

It's very, very fast on the draw, too.

Thing is: watch out and make sure that you're ordering for your strong hand that you'll be drawing with, left or right. This type of holster is not configurable for ambidextrous usage.

Also, even though every model of this holster I've ever seen was designated as a "Bianchi X15" in fact there are different sizes-- small, medium, and large. You're probably looking for the big one, if you mean to lug an N-Frame revolver around with it.

I'll leave you to research that part for yourself, but it's also very possible that the size issue will have more to do with barrel length than frame size. I'm not totally sure about that part.

Also, there's a disadvantage to the type: you don't get magazine or speed loader holders on the weak side of the rig. Plus, leather can get a little bit warm if you've got it on you all day. That's why some people prefer nylon rigs over leather.

Total vertical carry. You put a flannel over a tee shirt with this holster, and you could be carrying a cannon and nobody would be likely to notice.

Here's an example of an X15 that features a security clasp. Not all of them do, despite being sold as the same model number:

Best luck!

These things are hard to find for sale. I did find one available though...

Since we were doing Youtube channels in the other thread, my list of Guntubers

Hickok45
Honest Outlaw

I unsubbed to a lot of people when the Sig XMacro came out and I felt like I was being sold a bill of goods about how great it was. I don't doubt it's great, but they keep saying it is a concealed carry option on par with the P365X or the P365 and I just don't see how it could possibly be with a footprint as large as the Glock 19, even if it is thinner. These two above did it too but they made the cut for sheer volume of information other than that.

I inherited 750 rounds of .30 Carbine ammo when my dad passed a couple of years ago. About 500 rounds were packed in Evansville Armory boxes made in maybe in 1943? Purple paint on the primer signifies ball ammo.

This ammo lot, has brass cases. Many of the hundreds of millions of rounds produced during WWII had steel cases.

My son went out yesterday and cooked off 200 rounds. He and his cop buddy had a grand time with it. 2 failure to feeds, According to him, they were both with the 30 round mag.
