So I've eyeing a Wampler Ego compressor pedal for a while now. Currently I do mot jave any type of compressor sustainer pedal on my pedal board.

I used to own a early 80's Ibanez CP9 compressor limiter back in the early 90's and was quite pleased with it.

My question is, I own a MXR M108 EQ and was wondering if I'd be wasting money on adding a compressor in the effects chain with the EQ.

An EQ and a conpressor do vastly different things.
I’ve got the ego and it’s great. I’m still not sure how to use it for what I do, but I like it. I use it to fatten up some clean stuff, clamp down dynamics, and add sustain to my slide stuff.
It definitely changes your tone a little. It’s kinda warm, but nothing too bad. If it was always on, I wouldn’t care for it, but that’s any pedal, to me.
