I think I might owe Marshall an apology for my wisecracks about their reverb

My first three Marshall heads were a JTM45 OS, JTM50 and a DSL50. Because of the first two, I never really engaged, if at all, the reverb of the latter. I do remember the reverb on my DSL401 combo was nothing to write home about.

The last couple of nights, I've been plugging straight into the half stack with my Tele. Once I figured out the byzantine arrangement of the reverb knobs (/sarcasm, it was me own stupidity :D), i have been quite impressed with the reverb of the Marshall. It has a sweetness that I wasn't expecting, without getting all washed out. Off the top of my head, I think it's probably around 2 or 3 o'clock on the knob, which would be a wall of boing on my Princeton. There's something raw and primordial about going straight in with a Tele, and this amp ain't no slouch no suh.

Marshall cleans are also criminally underrated.

In the dark ages when I gigged my old white 800, I had it set clean and slapped it with an Alesis/Westbury/Guyatone/whatever TD-1 (12ax7) for stank.... Unreal.... Loved the clean....sparkly...

Who does one apologize to when it is a corporation?

I know.

Its a rhetorical apology.
