Went down to a GC in Orange County last week and saw a brand new G0 for $2799. I thought it was a good deal but I felt like I needed to think about it first. Went back today and it was already sold. I asked one of the sales guys to try to find another. There was only one new G0 left in GC's entire company wide inventory and it was out of state. I put a deposit on it. We agreed on a final price of $2900 out the door. I know the G0 had lots of fans here. Is that a good deal? The 2011 models have some new features. Here is the text from GC:

"One-piece mahogany body with a carved maple top
Mahogany neck, hand-selected rosewood fretboard
Custom-wound Gibson BurstBucker pickups made especially for this guitar,
with coil-split,
phase switch and killswitch electronics

Vintage Kluson-style tuners,
holly headstock veneer,
period-correct binding,
long-tenon neck joint."

That's a fair deal for a new one (I didn't even know they were still making them).

Used ones go for about $1800-$2300 (private party) and $2200-$2500 (Retail) - depending on condition, color, timing, etc.

I thought this model went by the wayside as well even though they are a very good deal. This model is not listed on GCs website anymore so maybe this was one of the last ones.
18004GIBSON for more info.

Pix or it didn't happen, as we say here.

You're correct. It was not on the website. The salesman searched through their system to find it. It was the last one. I've always wanted one 60s neck and one 50s neck. My trad pro was the 60s neck model, so I think I'll sell it now. It's a great guitar.

I have one from that same run and am very happy with it. The pick-ups are nice and the push-pulls useful. I'm surprised that one lasted as long as it did before being sold.
Good for you and welcome...

Does yours have a phase and kill switch? Not sure how useful that would be but it seems kinda cool to have.

Yes. Phase appeals to some, myself included. I seldom use the kill switch though...
