I texted the guy back last night and told him I would keep an eye out for people/bands looking for a git playe. He was really appreciative. He was playing back east in VA when he was in the Army. He'd gotten injured in Iraq and is now medically retired.

He seems like a cool guy, but he has just awful taste in guitars....IMO.

What's an insult to my military brothers and sisters are the politicians and military brass that send US sons and daughters into foreign war zones with the intent to profiteer, and with no regard for their safety.

Never said all are. And it's not even their fault if they are; the majority of the US populace has been misled by one of the most successful propaganda machines in the history of the Human race. The Gestapo and SS players that set it all up came here straight from Germany after WWII as part of Op. Paperclip.

What I have a real problem with are the military brass and corporations that think they are just cannon fodder and treat them as such. And of course, they rarely ever send their own children off to fight foreign wars. I aint no Senator's son and all that...

I know I was sure asleep when I was in the USN, and even for much of my life after.

BTW...I never once mentioned that the guy was a Vet, and it makes no difference to me if he is. I just thought his guitar taste and pedal collection was cheesy. What him being a Vet has to do with that, I'll never know.

Now....back to how much of an asshat I am....
