So, during 4 hours of waiting, some decent guy with a tow strap didn't happen by? WTF is this world coming to?

I've got a long, woven tow strap in the jeep. I keep it there incase some day, I find some damsel in distress. However, while I wait for that occasion, I am more than happy to help a fella out. I've pulled out a FedEx truck, Russian livery driver (who didn't listen to advice about icy roads) and the like. I'm no pro, but if you dig around, you ought to be able to find a tie-down hook attached to the frame. The strap doesn't touch the body of the car and you go nice and easy.

Don't you spend 20 hours a day on the toilet? I think I'd rather not spend the 4 good ones getting kicked in the nuts.

but hey you's a big boy, do as you do.

My GI doctor had me keep track of the times I went to the bathroom once. The results were depressing. 3 hours was a good day. 4-6 was pretty average. Lately, with my meds being changed and being sick, it's been more like 8-10 hours a day. :dunno:

you should just mount a tablet to the wall on a swing arm, get a padded seat,...maybe a cup holder.

watch netflix
I don't have a tablet, so I just use my phone for MLP, YouTube, Netflix, some games, and reading. I carry a water bottle everywhere because the Bentyl is dehydrating. Padded seat might be nice. Heck, just a new seat would be nice. This one is old and made of wood. Got a splinter in a very unpleasant place earlier today.

Get a tablet. I live on my iPad.

If I spent that kind of time .....sitting.... I'd need two iPads. Do it. You won't regret it.
I'll either have to save up for a very long time or hope my parents have another lapse in financial responsibility! :laugh2:

So.....I paid extra to extend the service contract for my vehicle to cover all maintenance services through the 45,000 mile mark.

This includes "24/7" roadside assistance.

Well.....not really.

After getting stuck on the side of the highway in the snow at 4 in the morning a while back, I was told that it would be at least 3.5 to 4 hours before any service could get to me.

So I wait 4 hours......then....after going back and forth with the tow truck drivers about how they should pull my car out, I reluctantly agree to let them winch me out by the driver's side wheel. (They wouldn't even consider pulling it from the rear....I dunno why.)
They said that it might scratch my wheel, but after waiting around and wanting to get the hell outta there, I let them.
Lo and behold, they didn't damage the wheel, but after I got it to a car wash to get all the mud, snow, and ice off, I discovered that the cable/chain came up and snapped the plastic around my front bumper. The whole front bumper/cowl needs to be replaced.

900 dollars worth of damage.

I filed a claim through the 3rd party service that Toyota uses, and was just told they will not pay for the damage.

Well......just.......
