In the liner notes of Marshall Tucker's 'Carolina Dreams' CD are some photographs of children, a little boy and a little girl. It turns out that the kids are our own Justin McCorkle, son of George McCorkle, and Cassady Caldwell, daughter of Toy Caldwell. One photo shows Cassady holding Justin in her lap.
I sent my copy to Justin for an autograph, and I had planned to have Cassady sign it at a later date. It turns out there was some kind of MTB reunion this weekend, and both were able to sign it together.
I wish I could have been there!

I think there should be a movie about the history of Southern Rock, and Justin could play his dad, or even Toy, as he looks nearly just like him with a big hat on!

Yeah, that goat is just right for grabbin' now, lol. Was great meeting you & the rest of the Boys last weekend. Was Cassady there, too? Day-um, if I'd have known that, I would have liked to say hi. Saw her pop up on facebook a while back & told her the story about standing at Toy's feet back in '76, while he ripped up the place in Phoenix. That'll be etched in my memory 'til I die. And thanks for signing my guitar. Now go get famous so I can retire off it, will ya?!? :laugh2: Hope to see y'all back here in FLA sometime soon...
