Be working on what is the value now as is and then find out what the value would be with repairs and refinish. Deduct the greater of the two, ask for reimbursement, fix it, rock it. That is a beautiful guitar and this is a great lesson to those who buy online. Digital pictures are free, ask for many.

yep. but that auction was bs, he hid the actual damage. i hope it works out for you but i have no idea how these things go with yj etc. :cheers:


i always have "this could be really bad" ringing in the back of my head when i bid on these things. i go into it with the understanding that i may be essentially burning the money i'm bidding with.

Rinkya is pretty good for catching "not as described/listed" issues though.
I usually get an email with pics after arrival asking if any suspect issues are warranting a dispute.
