I got a virus from MySpace

I signed on to create a MySpace for my band, and I got a virus. I think it was from the "uploader" I had to install (ActiveX) to upload pics or audio tracks. Fortunately Windows Defender was able to remove it, so I'm ok now. (note to self...get antivirus software)

WTF? I hate MySpace. MANY times when I go to someone's site it won't fully load, or it takes a lonnnngtime, so I have to "refresh".

Anybody else have issues?
