I'm addicted to my LP Custom and I just can never get tired of it. This model is a 2011 I believe. It's been my number one since I got it 3 years ago. Just an awesome guitar all around. Neck is perfect. Action isn't too low or too high. Pick-ups are high output and have a nice warm feeling. I want another Custom at some point. I wish they still made the Custom Lite.

Been playing it for a good 2 hours a day since the pandemic. Working from home gives me extra time for toys! :]

Well the guitar that got me into loving all things guitar looks a lot like yours... Mick Ronson’s stripped ‘68. Ok, no flame ( on the original, ...this is a CS edition)
But wow , did a natural LPC make an impression in 1972 to a 14yr old !!

Not sure on the weight, but I think it's pretty light for a Custom. I feel they're typically thought of as being on the heavier side. Maybe because of the double binding? My old R8 felt much heavier.

And yeah I made a subtle rant post about the Custom Lites and the current market for them. I bought a 2013 model in excellent condition 4 years ago for $1600 - $1700 something. I see them on Reverb now for around $2000 - $2500. Might as well just get another Custom. The Custom is CS made and comes with an ebony board. You can get a real nice used one for around $2700, maybe lower. You could also get a vintage one for around that price.
I own a Custom Lite. Mine was used - paid $850- and it was pristine. They are ‘low end’ for production Gibson. Those reverb prices are speculation. At the end of their run, guitar shops were blowing them out.

OP. Looks beautiful and you seem to be the perfect judge for it!
All the others are gorgeous, too.
The custom is the only one with that headstock inlay?

Love it! Just bought my first Les Paul, 2005 standard faded. Want a 68 custom reissue in tri burst, but didn't have enough scratch.

@MichaelAndrew3435

If you can put that gorgeous guitar down long enogh to do so, I'd love to see at least a couple more pics of the back and sides of the body and neck!

It's a real beauty to be sure...ever tried one of these AIO Wolfe guitars...amazing value... View attachment 496442
If someone is in the market for a Chibson, save up another $50 and buy an AIO / WOLF (another $50 for a Gator hard shell case). They are stunning, Made-In-China guitars and the quality for value ratio is insane. They don't say "Gibson" on the headstock and if that is important to you then spend seven times more for the real thing.

They will also do some custom work if that's what you want, but it'll take a little longer. I've been gassing for a Wolf guitar for a while now.

AIO guitar headstocks look like this:

And Wolf guitar headstocks look like this:

I'd just like to know why it's still asking me if the OP has a problem every time I come to the forum?

This screenshot was taken 30 secs ago...

August of 2020. So why is it still asking. Me about a 7 month old post?

Obviously , you have a problem with the forum and are not happy here.

Amazing clean looking blonde, OP ;)

I know what you mean.
There's something about these Custom Shop guitars.

I recently got a 1990 in alpine white and just can't stop playing it.
My Standard and my Traditional haven't seen any action ever since!

Only problem I can think of is not having enough time to play it :)

This deserves a proper size pic.

If that is seen as a problem I'd be happy to take her off your hands and add her to my collection of "problems."

2 problems? I picked up this LPC a few months back and put in 500T/496R pick-ups, had it re-wired with new pots, caps, etc and it's been my new go-to guitar. The pick-ups scream with practically no hum during high gain applications. Anyone who knows me knows I hate hum/noisy guitars and amplifiers. I friggen love this thing!

Dude, you're on fire! :dude:
I really like the 496r/500t set, great for high gain, lots of definition.
Very underestimated in my opinion.

How does the playability on this gorgeous red compare to the one which originated this post in the first place?
Any notable differences?
