What year is your Cherry Burst. Looks Norlin Era. How does it compare to your more modern LPC (on the right). Here's my 84 - very similar to yours! This 84 feels the "best" out of all my LPs but the pickups are so low output (6.99 on bridge, 7.01 on neck) and don't drive an amp all that well. Does your more modern LPC also have significantly higher output than your Norlins?

My CSB Custom is a 1978.... to the left is a 1977 BB Custom and to the right of the CSB is a 2011 BB Custom similar to the OP's.
The '77 and '78 have T-Top pickups and are about 7.5 to 8.5 K output...... about the the same as todays Custombuckers.... and drive an amp very well.
The 2011 has the higher output 490 series pickups..... excellent for high gain.
The '77 and '78 have way thinner necks than the 2011..... not that the 2011 is fat, it's more like a thin '59..... the Norlins are just very thin. i had the '78 since 1980.... so 40 years means i like it pretty well.
