There are a few reasons why this 1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard might be priced over $10,000 on Reverb:

  • Vintage appeal: Les Paul Standards from this era are considered desirable by collectors due to their potential for increased value and specific build characteristics.
  • Condition: The listing description isn't available here, but mint condition, original parts, and a desirable finish like vintage cherry sunburst can significantly raise the price.
  • Market value: The price might reflect the current market value for similar Les Paul Standards in excellent condition. Rare or highly sought-after variations can command even higher prices.
For a more accurate assessment, you'd need to check the listing details and compare it to similar guitars that have recently sold on Reverb.

The descriptions are the actual selling point. Very detailed. These won’t last long.

Just wait,... Marshall amps from the 1980's are going to go thru the roof. Oh wait,.. that already happened.
Exactly.
The ones that were pissed on because they weren't "real Marshall's".
Eventually, with prices going up, people are gonna look "down the scale"
and "discover" gems from obscure era's.

I should stock up on Sonex's!
And Mosfet Marshall's!
Oops! I shouldn't have written that.
Now everyone knows and they won't be affordable anymore!

Mosfet Marshalls make my head hurt,... though i did love those 1965A-B 4x10 cabinets they made for the Mosfet 100 head,... they were loud and light. Those might bring in some money (I just checked and yes they do).

I’ve an all original ‘89 HCSB LP myself.

It’s in amazing condition.

I’d probably let it go for $7k if anyone is interested.

That’s $3,300 less than this one. ;)

Here’s a pic of mine.
