Hi guys,

I intend to buy another STD and I saw this one on ebay:
New 2007 GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD Guitar with 60's Neck - eBay (item 120329136835 end time Dec-04-08 17:33:12 PST)

My dream would be a R9 but no money enough for that :noway:

What do you think?
Original?
Worth the $?
Can I change the tuners for Grovers without drilling? This is important to me...
Better choices for the price?

I personally like the 60´s neck but I´m open to other options.Color HAS to be something like that (Heritage Cherry Sunburst or similar). Please, take in count that I have some limitations in buying because some sellers only sell to paypal verified address and mine is not because I live in Brasil and guitar is to be shipped to Florida and then forwarded to me (Customs fees if you know what I´m mean...). That´s the way I´ve been buying lots of stuff for years.

Ps.I haven´t mailed the guy yet asking why serial is masked.

Ps2. If anyone here sells or knows safer places to buy, specially tested guitars, that would deal with international credit card and/or PayPal let me know. I can tell my 100% good reputation on ebay also to have it checked out.

C´mon! Tell me your options & opinions and make a poor Zep fanatic happier than ever!:thumb:

2000 is too much - you can get a brand new one for less. I paid 1600 for mine (which was brand new) on ebay a few months ago. Also (and this might just be a personal preference), but the one in the link you posted appears to have almost zero flame, and that would be a turn off for me.

Yes, the Grovers are secured by 1 screw at the back, which will align with the bottom screw hole of the Klusons. However they are shorter at the top so you will see half the upper screw holes and the indents where the Klusons bit into the headstock.

See below, you can see the holes and dents below, not a big issue for me.

EDIT : Oops sorry, after reading the post below I now get what you mean, the post holes will need adjusting.

Thanks man! I have one STD that has to be drilled (you can see pics on earlier posts of mine here) but I know that some models don´t need that, that´s why I answered.
To make things easier here is my guitar with Grovers (pic not good due to flash):
