I didn't know I was poor until someone called me poor trash
I didn't realize I was trash just because I have tattoos
I didn't realize I was 'Southern' till some 'Northerner' made a sh*tty comment
I didn't realize I was a redneck until someone called me that. I always thought a man should know how to fix things and catch food,....seems important,.......if you're a guy.
I didn't realize I was supposed to 'act like a man',..until I got punished for crying when I was a child
I didn't realize when you say you want equality you still want me to pay for dinner and hold the door for you

So many things I didn't realize,....had no idea really....

I didn't realize any of these things,...and many others that were pointed out to me,...because I was too busy enjoying my life and being myself.
