Thought I'd try building my first guitar from bits on the bay from all over and I'll be damned if it didn't turn out heaps better than I was expecting. Based it on Gilmour's red 57 reissue and this is playing it how it went together - still need to raise the action a bit and tweak the setup but it's already a damn great player the Eric Johnson maple neck is just butter in your hands - specs are on the vid page notes. Everything was from a different source so it's a true Frankenstrat. Yes I know it's a strat but Les Pauls don't bolt together as easily... and Frankenles don't sound right :)

Yeah, maybe it's not a LP, but a good strat is one hell of a great instrument too. I like this one, and nice Gilmour playing too. Very nice man. Thanks for sharing it. Loved it!

Hey thanks guys the guitar is a killer for sure - it's one of my favs and totally different from my other guitars - just blitz's my US strat and the EJ neck is silky smooth. Think I got lucky with this one all the bits just seemed to want to go together but sourcing all the pieces and putting them all together was a hell of a lot of fun. Could be dangerously addictive.

Cheers!
