I hear the Buick and Cadillac-style cars at "Rondo Auto" are a phenominal deal. A lot of people at Carmony Central RAVE about them.

You refer to Chevy.

Some very good .......drivers prefer bang for buck, and that's fine.

No, I was specifically saying you are referring to upper end common production type.....vehicles, which are in no way comparable to the Ferrari name you ridiculously invoke.

Sort of an Ivory Tower thing, I suppose. :hmm:

I just can't "adapt" to the really new ones. I like them "broken in" kind of.

I'm getting the feeling this has nothing at all to do with Ferraris. If you wanted to do an accurate comparison, you might say your Ferrari had paint flaws or that the seat was not bolted in completely or the body panels were out of alignment.

In fact, why use a Ferrari as a comparison? Use a Camaro. Then other cars would be a Mustang, a Charger and so on. As for the price comparison, other cars in the same class are all 80% of the cost of the Camaro.

Does it come with a case? Or is that extra?

You get a thin padded cover that says FERRARI!! in big letters.

It's a little thicker then a garbage bag,.......a little.

Porsche makes perfect cars. So many people say: "There's no such thing as a perfect car". I call bullshit on that...My local Porsche dealer: Paul Reed has just about every color in stock at his lot and they are all perfect. every single inch of them

I put a lot of faith in a Paul Reed Porsche.

Put Porsche isn´t using the traditional lacquer, so they won´t age properly.
You can keep em in the sun and they will still look like new, even after decades. Without the cracks in the lacquer the sound of the engine can not unfold like it should.

Oh by the way, I had the chance to talk to Paul Reed Smith this afternoon. He really seems to be a great guy. He was playing with his band at Thomanns Sommerfest. After the set he gave his guitar to Hans Thomann, who could not believe what was happening.

I had a red 308 years ago, spent more time in the repair shop than driving it and cost more than mt divorce, but it sure drew the babes!

So, I buy a NOS Ferrari Testerosa online from Car Center and when it was delivered I was appalled! Is it too much to ask for a semi-perfect car at these prices? The flaws and crappy workmanship is unacceptable and I am reading on the internet that so many others are having quality problems with their Ferrari's too.

1) Within the first 15 seconds of getting into my new Ferrari it becomes apparent that the driver’s seat needs to be adjusted. WTF! Doesn’t anybody inspect these things at the Ferrari plant?? This car dives like shit with the seat in the factory position. Who set up the seats...Kareem Abdul Jabaar???!!!?!??

2) So after the seat nightmare, now I am freaked out and start looking at my car with a fine tooth(ed) comb. Guess what I found? The Goddamn tailpipe is sticking out of the back of the car! REALLY???..Are you kidding me??? Come on guys! Don’t they understand that EXHAUST FUMES come out of there? I don’t want to see that crap!

3) Ok so I got a really good deal on the car and I am dealing with the first 2 issues, and the mechanic at Car Center spoke with me and let me know he's the best Mechanic around, way better than the other guy across town and how he has to fix the other guys mistakes constantly. So, I drive my car for a few days and for the most part, she's really sweet and looks awesome (except for that tailpipe that makes me crazy every time I see it), but then HOLY CRAP... MY CAR DIES!!!...In the middle of a sweet turn I was making! It turns out that the gas mileage on this thing SUCKS!!! My wife's Toyota Prius gets WAY better gas mileage and costs HALF of what I paid for the Ferrari.

4) The final straw came today. I brought my Ferrari to Car Center to see about upgrading the steering wheel and review mirror mounting condom, and he informs me that my tire pressure is way off and that he will need to adjust the pressure in ALL 4 DAMN TIRES!!!! That's it I’m done!

I Give up on Ferrari. They are WAY overpriced and overhyped! Now to all the Ferrari apologists out there...you can all go SUCK AN EGG!!!!

:wow:This is a joke, right?

EDIT nvm just read the thread,,,,that's 10 mins of my life I'll never get back.... =P

me too,but ill bet you cant get brake rotors and pads for a 308 at autozone or even NAPA...

meh,...go to a junkyard and find a wrecked Ferarri to strip parts from.

(there's gotta be some there,..look at all the YouTube clips of big spenders that don't know how to turn a corner without spinning the car around. :laugh2: )
