to the few people with this stance (so I dont have to make multiple quotes)
You're right. You see, when I entered the academy, they do this whole 6 million dollar man and take out every human element the rest of you have. I dont get sad, pissed off, happy, horny or feel any more emotion than a vulcan, all to serve YOU, the public. They couldn't do anything about my sarcasm tho..........in 11 and a half years, I've NEVER mistreated a prisoner and can count the number of times I've even raised my voice to people on one hand. I actually pride myself on my professionalism at work when dealing with the public and am often a reference to other officers, and also served as their chief delegate when I was active in the union. Now if anyone reading this has deducted I ACTUALLY want to MURDER over a couple of shirts, step AWAY from the internet slowly. I'm angry I was stolen from and I'm stressed my ex is ****ing with my current GF. I had a halfway decent nights sleep and I'm going to head over to the laundry mat later and see what they have. Aside from being a LEO, I'm also a consumer, customer and a human being.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate police. I have many good friends and family who are police. I just don't buy the desensitized thing as an excuse to act out. I certainly didn't think you were serious about murder, but the yelling at a lady thing is what made me type what I did.

I find it hard to believe that you would lose your temper so badly at this little woman and not at a guy defying your authority on the job. But if you say that's the case I believe you.

Do you feel the need to apologize to the woman for losing your temper?

fair enough.

believe it. My authority is not end all at work, and is actually very limited as is every LEOs. I'm not your typical LEO buff and give breaks as opposed to writing a summons, almost exclusively. Many LEOs have an us vs them mentality, I'm NOT that guy. Im here to help. After all, you're footing the bill, right? This individual tried to rob me, PERSONALLY. Big difference from not turning on your interior light if I ask you. They pay me by the hour, you're the one with somewhere to go, right? I can sit here all night until you comply, no need to get testy. Why work myself up over THAT?
Do you feel the need to apologize to the woman for losing your temper?

no. I still feel she intentionally tried to rob me, and I still dont know what they still have of mine.

I do believe you Joey! And I applaud you for that. You just had a bad night man. If you're correct about them purposely taking your things. I can't fault you for acting the way you did. From the story it sounds like a typical over-reaction, but we weren't there. :D

if it didn't happen once before, I wouldn't have flipped the way I did.

I worry about some of you Americans. You get your pastrami served on white instead of rye and you want to go on a killin' spree!???:thumb:

We're just overly dramatic, cookie. No one is going to actually kill anyone.

You limey's think we're all homicidal maniacs. :naughty:

please refer to my post on me not being a Buddhist monk. I like nice things. They make me happy. I'm a consumer.

Understood

She was there, IMO, to rub her tits in my GFs face. All the time I was with her, she NEVER made a gig. Not one. All of a sudden, a year and a half after we officially split shes at a gig?

:laugh2: That sucks man. Sounds like you made a great decision on splitting up.

things could definitely get worse, no doubt. There are 6 year olds laying in calvary hospital. However, my philosophy gauges my life to the best case scenario, so I can improve on what I have, in every aspect. Guys with yachts and millions in trust funds dont have these petty problems.

I don't know how old you are, I'm going to say maybe mid 30's? 40? Can't really tell from you profile picture, but if you stay healthy you have another 30-40 years to keep walking this Earth.

This is one day out of those 30-40 years, tomorrow's a new day, you can forget yesterday and keep going for your goal. Don't let this (sort of) little things get in the way and backtrack you :)

When we take out clothes to the cleaners we and the cleaners count and identify all the items and then we and they know what's there...have New Yorkers not figured out how to do this?

...As far as my ex wandering in, the venue was a solid 40 miles away from her house. A budweiser was just the same in the 150 bars she passed on the way. She was there, IMO, to rub her tits in my GFs face...

THAT might be worth $230 to watch, depending.

I suppose my view as a disinterested party may give me a different reference point though...

No one can steal your stuff if you do your own laundry. And you wouldn't have to buy more stuff to replace the stuff they stole. Seems like it makes sense to me.

I didn't get a chance to stop in today, Im hopeful I get my stuff back. It doesn't make sense to do my own stuff because its really the same money. These wash and fold places are just laundromats that don't dryclean that offer the service. its really the same money after you figure the soap. I don't think its unreasonable to expect all my clothes back, every time.

It's just stuff, man.

Even if they didn't find the clothes, Joey wouldn't miss any meals and after venting a little bit he'd get over it and buy more.

Joey's not one to be out of fashion, anyways. The styles would change and he would have ended up donating them to goodwill.:)

yes there is. I like the look and fit of their denim, I like opera and musicals and am a confirmed 110% heterosexual.
